Fall in Love with Fall Porches

After months of hot, humid weather, we can finally enjoy our back
porch once again.  We spend so much time out here when the weather
is mild that it truly becomes as extension of our house, so I love to
decorate out here.  We have lamps and a fountain, lots of wicker chairs
and a porch swing too.

Today I am joining Brenda at  Cozy Little House for her
Seasonal Fall Harvest Tour

Here are the links for this tour:

The rich colors of autumn and the tartans are fun for me to use in
decorating schemes.  Love them!

Down here on the South Texas Coast, we don't have the beautiful fall
leaves of the north and I miss them.  I just mimic them in my decor.

I love Mums.  I always think of my college days when I see a big pot
of Mums.  Football games and bonfires, marching bands and
homecoming.  Sweaters, hot cider, pledging a sorority.  Do you
associate certain flowers with happy days from your past?

So here it is, my back porch decorated for Fall.  When you step out into
the back yard, it looks like the tropics, but while on the porch, the
pumpkins, Mums, crisp red apples and autumn leaves take you into
a different place.

And don't forget about the Fall In Love With Texas tour!
Be sure to visit my friends here too!!

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have been
enjoying the tours!

Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  14. Your fall touches are perfect remembrances of fall. For some reason I remember fall in high school and our beginning to wear wool sweaters, the marching band practicing, and football games! And in college...walking across campus crunching leaves as I walked. Thank you for visiting me and telling me about your special golden. ahhh. I can just see him walking the aisle of the airplane as a puppy. Such a sweet memory! My heart just signs. My brother now has three adoped dogs...two goldens and now a flat coated retriever. Such sweet boys. You can tell that I am a dog lover! I will be back to visit. Sheila
